Why We Give
Giving is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, trust, and love for God. We recognize that everything we have comes from Him, and we seek to honor Him through the way we use what He has entrusted to us.
At Big Lake Heights, we teach and practice tithing as giving ten percent of our income to support the ministry of the church. Offerings are gifts given above our tithe as we are led and able to give.
Scripture calls us to give willingly and cheerfully, rather than from pressure or obligation (2 Corinthians 9:7). Through our tithes and offerings, we participate in the ongoing work of sharing Christ and serving others.
